Life adjustments.

I was thinking about when I started this blog at the start of 2013. I had planned on writing each week. Not really for everyone else but for Steve and I to be able to look back on the year. Well life as we know it is busy and well I have been VERY slack on writing entries on here. Although I don't have an entry for each week to look back on, I still have been looking back and what a year we have had. It doesn't feel like this time last year I was in a wheel chair from my ankle surgery in Kansas. It doesn't even seem like we were living in Kansas last year at this time. Kansas ... something I miss dearly. We have only been back in NC for about 7 months now and what a 7 months it has been. The adjustment of living around a world of civilians is much harder than anyone could ever imagine. Not only are we having to adjust to our new "home life" in NC but also to Steve's new job with the Sheriff's department. And baby Kendall is another HUGE adjustment we are in the process of making ... until she gets here and then it will be another whole adjustment. A huge life adjustment for the better of course! (:

We found out that we are going to be parents to a sweet, beautiful baby girl! Yep, that's right ... ITS A GIRL. We are thrilled. When we went to the doctor to find out the sex of our little one we both just knew that it was a boy. So much so that when she said it was a girl we didn't believe her and made her tell us again. and again and again!! Our gender reveal party went very well and everyone was just as shocked as we were when we found out. Ever since then we can't stop buying for out sweet little one. She is spoiled to the max already and she is not even here yet.
We are enjoying every minute of this pregnancy. Taking it all in like first time parents normally do. Steve reads to my big belly every night and he talks to our little girl very often.

I must say that although life is busy and MUCH different than the life Steve and I had in Kansas it is our life and we are very blessed to have been chosen for the life that we have.
